I really love books. To read them, to look at the fonts, the smell, the idea of them and the actually feel and texture of the paper. I came across this artist on Etsy.com and her own website http://art.janemount.com/ and her use of books in her paintings are breathtaking!
Her concept is to take your ideal bookshelf and put it into a painting so it will stand the test of time.
It is a great conversation starter. To have a piece like this in your home, it will show your guests your ideal bookshelf, and if you love books as much as I do, then you'll really enjoy these one of a kind paintings.
