New packaging idea and clients order ready to be shipped!

My client got his wife this lovely cat stationery set. Apparently she has a love for cats. I also played with the idea of a "flag", "ribbon" like sticker that would go on my packaging. It's simple, not loud and still lets the design shine through. I think it's a keeper for all my packaging.

Have a happy weekend!!

Working on some new product!

Have a great day!

Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory

What a great day! My family and I went to tour the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory. We had such a great time. The tour guide takes you throughout the factory and you see everything through the observation deck. Your told kindly, not to take pictures, but we got a few chances to take pics before and after the tour.

If you are in the Brenham, Texas area, I highly reccommend coming here. It was so fun and you get free icecream at the end! How great is that?

Don't be a fool this April - The 5 advantages of personalized stationery

Just as the title suggests, don't be caught sending those horrible, genuine-lacking emails to thank people for gift or just to say hello.
There was a time when email first made its appearance on the social/internet scene, and people were flocking to check their emails 20 times a day to see if anyone wrote to them. If you happen to be the lucky person to get an email, your reply would be well thought out and lengthy. Let's fast forward a decade and let's reflect on how email and hand written correspondence has changed. Your inbox is full of junk mail, and if you can organize your way through the clutter and you see an email from an actual person your heart skips a beat and rushes to open it in an instant. Which leads me into the first advantage of personalized stationery:

1. Creates more meaningful and genuine connections with humans.
Since the evolution of email and the uses for it have expanded, it is less meaningful to receieve one. Just imagine the reaction of someone who receives a letter from you in the mail. If on personalized stationery, add 3 points for yourself, because since it is far and few people who may take the handwritten note approach, your sentiment would be greatly appreciated. I still keep handwritten cards from my loved ones, because it means something to me and in its own right, it's like a piece of art.

2. It's personalized to fit your style and has your name on it!
Well this is a no brainer. Who doesn't want something with your name on it? It can also reflect your style by using fonts and illustrations.

3. Forces you to write neater and helps practice your penmenship.
Let's face it. There will not be many times where you can practice your penmenship. You may jot down a few things during meetings or quickly write that grocery list down, but I have stressed how important handwritting is before and I will stress it again. Since someone will have to read your letter, your'e forced to write neater. Nicer penmenship makes us feel better about ourselves. If you are reading this and are trying to look the other way consider my tips for better handwriting.

4. Stronger relationships & you become a happier person
Similiar to my first point, however by continuing to write letters, you are making yourself aware of what your grateful for, and by putting it on paper and making someones day, it will enrich your life and you become selfless.

5. Super afforable!
The connotation of "personalized" is sometimes negative because people assume it comes with a heavy price tag. In many cases it does, however there are many afforable options for personalized stationery such as here and here. So no excuse to not get yourself some stationery that suits you so you can start writing up a storm. Here is a  book you can read to help get your pens dusted off : A Simple Act Of Gratitude
